We are delighted to announce the appointment of Darren Vince as our new Minor Works Manager. This is a new role to head up a team of multi-trades specialists to deliver responsive repair and maintenance works for our social landlord clients – housing associations and local authorities. Darren will oversee a range of contracts to address damp and mould, bathroom and kitchen upgrades in void properties, general repairs, door replacements, and electrical testing and compliance. He brings 12 years of experience in social housing repair and maintenance to Trail Group and was previously Planned Works Manager on a contract for Dartford Borough Council. We have just started work on our next phase of our fire protection work at The British Museum in London. Founded in the 1700s, this is one of the most significant cultural institutions in the world and is housed in historic buildings of national importance ???. We are really proud to be working to help protect such a magnificent cultural landmark, its staff and visitors. Our teams are now carrying out extensive fire door surveys as part of a major fire door replacement project. The British Museum was the world's first free, national, public museum that opened its doors to 'all studious and curious persons'. MEET OUR TEAM – Libby Bovingdon joined Trail Group in 2023 as Client Manager and has specific responsibility for our fire safety work with Sage Homes – the largest provider of newly-built affordable housing in England. We have a dedicated team in place to carry out monthly inspections on more than 200 blocks of social housing apartments for Sage to assess health and safety, emergency lighting and automated smoke vents in compliance with the latest legislation. Libby is responsible for co-ordinating all the inspections on the properties which are located across England – from Yorkshire in the north to Dorset and Somerset in the south. She plans and schedules all our site visits and any rectification work required as well as contract administration and evaluating our services to the client’s precise requirements.
