This month we introduce you to our customer, Curious Joe Coffee, hailing from DeSoto, IA. The “Coffee Explorers” at Curious Joe proudly roast on a Probat P12/2.? ? The dynamic husband-and-wife team behind Curious Joe and TRADER'S BASKET LLC, Danny and Gigi Rittgers,?formed Curious Joe to create a business that connects their home countries and cultures.?They foster direct relationships with growers in Latin America.?By collaborating directly with producers, they ensure the preservation of the value of the grower’s products, empowering the entire supply chain.? ? One of Curious Joe’s Pillars is “to motivate and work with younger generations of coffee growers to continue their families’ legacies. At the same time, we give high importance to farms with a mission in their communities”.? Curious Joe primarily focuses on roasting Peruvian-sourced coffees, some of which undergo unique and experimental green processing. One standout is their “Berry Merry”, a medium roast that uses a Natural Cryo-Maceration processed green coffee.? ? This month, we are excited to showcase an assortment of offerings from?Curious Joe.
