Spine Endoscopy Saturday AND Sunday.After a busy week of taking care of patients, it was great having 4 surgeons from across the state come learn the basics of spine endoscopy, including my good friend Alex Thomas Thomas. On Sunday, able to have our current spine fellows and 2 international visitors also learn.I actually end up learning a thing or two as well, which will undoubtedly help my patients.It’s great to know that many patients in the state and all over the world will benefit from this technology. TrackX Technology, Inc. Carm based intraoperative navigation has helped me immensely with my revision biportal endoscopic spine surgeries. I can localize, plan my portals, identify the pathology and confirm complete decompression by combining direct visualization with the endoscope and real-time intraop navigation with the TrackX system. It has helped me immensely with accuracy and time efficiency during my cases, all with just an AP and lateral image and 1.5 seconds of fluoroscopy time. I just stand behind a lead shield for the 2 Carm shots so no need to wear lead during the case.
