TraceSeis Inc, founded in 2003 by Alvaro Chaveste, is a Houston-based company providing innovative geoscience solutions to the oil and gas industry through software, services, and consulting. Our flagship product, SeisTool, revolutionizes reservoir characterization by eliminating the need for Low Frequency Models (LFM) through our pioneering relative rock properties methodology. Our core technology integrates well-log and seismic data to obtain quantitative estimates of reservoir properties, with a unique zero-bookkeeping approach that reduces errors and increases productivity. The SeisTool package includes three key modules: SeisRP for reflectivity analysis, SeisMod for rock physics modeling, and SeisChar for training neural networks to estimate reservoir properties from seismic attributes. TraceSeis partners with select companies including BRT Energy Advisors for prospect evaluation, NMR Petrophysics for petrophysical analysis, and Z-Terra for seismic imaging solutions. Our methodology, published in AAPG Explorer, has demonstrated success in both conventional and unconventional plays by addressing critical pitfalls in seismic data analysis while maintaining efficiency through predefined templates and on-the-fly computations. Current development includes SeisInv, expanding our capabilities in seismic inversion to reservoir properties.
