We are thrilled to announce that TPA has successfully secured $250,000 in competitive funding in partnership with the City Of Guadalupe through the Central Coast Community Energy's Electrify Your Fleet grant program! This transformative funding will help fund a transit bus that is projected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 85 metric tons of CO2 annually, which is equivalent to taking 18 gas-powered passenger vehicles off the road each year. This effort will significantly help reduce transportation emissions and support the City's commitment to sustainability. At TPA, we proudly champion initiatives that improve and strengthen California communities. This latest achievement is another example of the City's commitment to promote and protect a healthy and viable community. Once again, congratulations, Guadalupe, and thank you to everyone involved in this success!

TPA was honored to join Assemblymember Diane Dixon in Aliso Viejo last week for a Grant Workshop! We're excited to highlight Grants Director Alex Gibbs, who had the opportunity to equip city staff and nonprofit organizations with the tools needed to craft winning applications and navigate grant research to secure critical funding for their communities. A big thank you to Assemblymember Dixon for hosting this important event and thank you, Alex, for all your hard work as a Champion for Better Communities!
It was an honor to lead a "Grant Writing 101" workshop for the office of Asm. Diane Dixon last week in Aliso Viejo. Thank you to the City of Aliso Viejo for hosting us and to all the nonprofits and local government staff who participated. With the current uncertainty regarding federal funding it is paramount for organizations to diversify funding streams and put their best foot forward when it comes to seeking competitive grant funding.

TPA was honored to attend and sponsor "A Day in Her Shoes" last week in the City of Murrieta! Created by Murrieta Council Member Lori Stone and fittingly held the day before International Women’s Day, this inspiring event is designed to motivate, encourage, and provide career opportunities for women, empowering them to envision themselves in new roles and connect with those who have paved the way. TPA Senior Associate Barbarah Torres and Business Development Associate Olivia Raymond participated in the event, which featured mentorship pairings, career exploration, and networking, as well as insightful speakers from the fields of science, public safety, hospitality, and politics. Congratulations, Council Member Stone, on another successful and impactful year! TPA is proud to support this incredible initiative and looks forward to seeing its continued growth and positive impact in the years ahead.

Earlier in February, Townsend Public Affairs had the privilege of coordinating a Sacramento advocacy trip with the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) to champion key regional priorities. The delegation, including President Tim Hepburn, Principal Management Analyst Stephanie Wong, and Director of Government and Community Relations Ricky Choi, met with state lawmakers to discuss wildfire recovery efforts, the importance of protecting critical funding in the state budget, and the many successful programs led by SGVCOG. This trip was also a valuable opportunity to engage with newly elected officials and highlight the needs of the San Gabriel Valley. We appreciate our state partners for their dedication to strengthening local communities and look forward to continuing our work with SGVCOG!
