This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, our employee spotlight shines on Mark Meier, Assistant Vice President and Business Analyst/Project Manager! ? Mark has been a part of the Towne family for almost 14 years and brings 36 years of IT expertise to our team. His favorite Towne memories have been made at the TowneBank Foundation Golf Tournament and our annual Fall Extravaganza (don't miss this year's event on October 26!). He enjoys the community aspect of these events and the opportunity they provide for Towne to make a difference. "I find joy in making others' jobs as easy as possible," Mark shares. Whether setting up technology or teaching software, Mark is always there to help others thrive in their roles. When Mark is not in the office, you can find him golfing or at a NASCAR race. The Towne Family of Companies supported the United Way’s Day of Caring at 14 locations across Virginia and North Carolina with participation from over 100 volunteers from the Towne Family. Project sites included Norfolk SPCA, Portsmouth Boys & Girls Club, Children’s Harbour of Suffolk, Ronald McDonald House in Richmond, the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, and many more. In addition, dozens of Towne family members wrote cards of encouragement for Meals on Wheels recipients and those in senior living facilities. Hops for Hope brings companies and breweries together to create beverages and raise funds for Children's Flight of Hope, a Raleigh-based non-profit dedicated to providing air transportation for children needing essential, life-changing, and life-saving medical care. The new state-of-the-art facility features a driving range, a short game practice area, simulator bays, a playground, and an event pavilion. There are staff offices, meeting spaces, and an area for kids to do homework or play indoor golf during inclement weather. It also includes the new TowneBank Learning Center, a 5,000-square-foot building for First Tee's programs, Pictured are Towne Insurance Senior Vice President & Risk Advisor James Morgan and First Tee - Triangle CEO Brandon Baker.
