Wellesley Promotes New Assistant Fire Chief Congratulations to Wellesley's new Assistant Fire Chief Charles "Chuck" DiGiandomenico, who was promoted to his new role in early March.? An experienced firefighter who's served the Town for more than 25 years, Chuck was previously a Deputy Fire Chief and has been involved in all aspects of fire emergencies and rescue operations. He was sworn in by Town Clerk KC Kato in front of a large crowd in the Great Hall during the Select Board meeting on Tuesday, March 11. His father, retired WFD Lieutenant Charlie DiGiandomenico, pinned on his son's new badge. Chuck is replacing current Assistant Fire Chief Nat Brady who is retiring this year. #WellesleyMA #LocalGovernment #WellesleyFireDepartment

This spring, Olin launched an exciting new curricular offering, Sustainability Initiatives Research Collaboration (SIRC). The pilot course is sponsored by two partners, Town of Wellesley, MA - Wellesley DPW, as well as Bainbridge Island, Washington-based Green Mountain Technology Inc. SIRC is an initiative that emerged from Olin’s College as a Living Lab (CaLL) strategic sustainability work and aims to connect Olin’s hands-on, creative approach with sponsoring partners who need thoughtful, innovative solutions for sustainability related projects. ?? ?? The spring 2025 pilot course will be taught by Associate Professor of Biology Jean Huang.?25 students in this pilot SIRC course will collaborate in teams with either Wellesley DPW or Green Mountain Technologies to tackle sustainability challenges.
