Notice: Exit numbers and signage on US 52 from Rural Hall to the Virginia state line are being updated to reflect the highway’s designation as part of I-74, aligning with I-74 mile markers. Work is taking place Monday-Friday, with occasional lane closures as needed based on shoulder width and project requirements. The contractor is currently excavating footers and installing steel supports in preparation for the arrival of the new signs. The foundation work is expected to take approximately 3 weeks, followed by 1-2 weeks for sign installation. If lane closures are necessary, they will occur between 9 AM and 3 PM. The attached image displays the upcoming exit number changes on US 52.

At Tuesday’s monthly Rural Hall Area Business Association (RHABA) meeting, members gathered for a “Business Spotlight”—where each business/organization shared details about their range of services, upcoming events, and ongoing initiatives. The RHABA is made up of a diverse array of local businesses seeking to work together with town officials to improve the business, civic, and educational environment for our workers, citizens, and patrons. On the evening of December 14th, the Town of Rural Hall lit approximately 3,000 luminaries to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Piedmont Triad. This drone footage captures the stretch of luminaires from Wall Street, past the intersection of 65 and Broad Street, down to Bethania Street. We have a community to be proud of!
