TWO active affordable housing projects are making progress in South Saint Louis City: 1. 3623 Hydraulic is a full gut renovation and will create two 1100 sq ft 2 bedroom 1 bath units for rent in November 2024. 2. 4900 Gravois is underway to create 64 units of affordable senior housing called Crossroads in Bevo Mill. Walls are going up now and we expect the project to be complete in October 2025.

5815?Goener?Ave, on a quiet street in the Bevo Mill neighborhood, has been vacant?for years and in desperate need of a new chapter.?Thanks to Legal Services of Eastern MO, the?@betterbevonow neighborhood association?and Alderwoman Schweitzer, Tower Grove CDC gained possession, secured the property, and cured all the exterior code violations.?The clean out has started and the beauty of this 1929 construction is starting to show.?

ARCH by HomeScreen: At-risk Renters’ Connection to Housing (ARCH) launched in March of 2021. ARCH was created through CARES Act funding, granted in 2020, to help low to moderate-income renters whose housing was affected by the economic effects of the pandemic. Over the years, the focus has shifted to help any person currently at risk of homelessness to locate safe and stable housing. More older adults will have access to affordable housing and services in the heart of South St. Louis City, thanks to a collaborative effort between Lutheran Senior Services (LSS), Tower Grove Community Development Corporation (TGCDC), and several partner organizations. The group broke ground Monday on Crossroads Senior Living, a new mixed-income senior housing community in the Bevo Mill neighborhood. https://lnkd.in/gJv-dqJx
