  • This year, Equal Pay Day in the U.S. is March 14. What does that mean? Simply (but sadly) this: It takes till March 14th this year, on average, for a woman’s earnings to catch up with what a man made by the end of the prior calendar year. The specific date for Equal Pay Day each year varies, and this year’s date is two days later than in 2024, meaning equal pay has backslid a bit. In any event, it is unfortunate that this observance is necessary to put pay inequality in perspective.
