Meeting API requirements can be tricky. Testing stack hydraulics annually is not only for the ram BOP's and annular, you must also test the hydraulic choke valve. Most land operators run the FC type hydraulic valve and those actuators are designed at a 1500 PSI operating pressure. As these run off the same regulator on the accumulator as the ram BOP's that can be tricky and even dangerous as the ram BOP's must be tested to 3000 PSI. Total has fixed that potential hazard by designing a 3000 PSI hydraulic actuator that will fit your existing FC type valve.

At Total Oilfield we listen to the needs of our customers. Introducing the TRLOD (Total R Check Valve with Lock Open Device). While testing the kill line valves on the BOP stack, it has always been a problem in the industry of either having to remove the check valve or remove the internals of the valve to see if a leak path exists while testing against the kill line gate valves.
