We're celebrating! Toray Plastics (America) has marked a significant milestone in its dedication to sustainable growth. At a ribbon cutting held on July 25, NuGen Capital Management announced that we have agreed to purchase 100 percent of the energy generated from the new Bristol Landfill Solar Project, located in Bristol, Rhode Island. The 6.875 MWdc solar project sits on 90 acres, consists of 20,692 solar panels, and will generate 8,700,000 kWh of clean, renewable energy. This output is estimated to be equivalent to the energy needed to power more than 700 homes annually. The Town of Bristol partnered on the project development. “The Toray team is thrilled to be a part of the Bristol Landfill Solar Project,” says Chris Roy, President, CEO, and COO of Toray Plastics (America). “This project underscores our unwavering dedication to sustainable growth and investment in the communities where we operate.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/esgFRpXr Ribbon-cutting participants, left to right: ? We have exciting news! Spectra Systems Corporation is now producing the world’s first polymer banknote substrate that is part of a mass-balanced recycling supply chain certified by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS process. Every banknote made with Spectra’s polymer substrate is produced on a mass balance basis utilizing polymer recycled in the supply chain.?This provides the world’s central banks the ability to further improve sustainability of the banknote manufacturing process. The print-ready material for the banknotes, Torayfan? polypropylene film, was sourced from Toray Plastics (America), Spectra Systems’ exclusive supplier. Torayfan film is made with certified-circular resins and is ISCC PLUS certified. Toray’s certification assures Spectra Systems and its security printing subsidiary, Cartor Security Printers in the United Kingdom, that the material is part of a fully audited mass-balance supply chain. We are pleased to have played a role in this important industry development. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eD3durQd #SpectraSystemsCorporation #Banknotes #TorayPlasticsAmerica #ISCC ?
