We are pleased to announce that two of our female leaders, Cheryl Colbert and Sam Merithew, were recognized this week as honorees for Top Women in Grocery by Progressive Grocer. In total Progressive Grocer inducted 400 women, chosen from more than 1,000 nominees, into this year’s class. These women strengthen the retail food industry at many levels, within both the retailer and supplier communities. Top Women in Grocery is a community that has continued to grow since 2007, with the best and brightest women in the industry. Honorees are recognized in one of the following categories: - Senior-Level Executives - Rising Stars - Store Managers Progressive Grocer's Top Women in Grocery award is the most prestigious honor for female leaders in the grocery industry. Tops continues to give back to the communities that it serves by remaining steadfast in its commitment in eradicating hunger.?By way of this year’s Hilton Apple Festival, Tops once again was able to help raise funds for the Hilton – Parma Emergency Food Shelf.?This year’s donation is the largest to date, $2,335 which is in addition to multiple carts of food items. The Hilton Apple Festival was founded in 1981 to offer free family entertainment while celebrating the apple harvest season, local apple growers, and the Hilton/Parma community as a whole. The Festival has grown to include hundreds of booths including local crafters and artisans, food vendors, live music, a variety of fun activities, and local businesses. Over the past several years, Tops has offered attendees the chance to spin the Tops prize wheel as a fundraiser for the Hilton-Parma Emergency Food Shelf.?Thanks to the community's generous support, the donation from Tops has grown exponentially over the years.?

Please join us in congratulating Samantha Webster on her promotion to store manager of the North Creek, NY Tops. Samantha started her career with Tops in 2018 as a produce clerk at the Tops in Bolton Landing.?She has held several positions over the years including produce manager, operations manager and assistant store manager, most recently in North Creek, NY.?Samantha has also played a vital role as a district trainer with Project Renew, FIM/CAO, and Kronos Dimensions.
