As Black History Month came to a close on Friday we began rewarding some of our recipients of the essay writing contest with their prizes. We had so many wonderful entries from students in grades 3-8 who were proud to share who inspires them. As a result of their prize winning entries, their school received $100 toward their Tops in Education program and the student received a $50 Tops gift card to use on whatever they liked. Congratulations to all of our participants! #blackhistorymonth

Tops associates were happy to help staff the phones for the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital Radiothon which took place Feb. 11 & 12. This year's event raised over $221,000 for the hospital. Tops was also the Hospitality Sponsor, so in addition to feeding all the volunteers, donated $2,500 to the cause. We are pleased to announce that Samantha (Sam) Merithew has been promoted to Deli/Bakery Specialist for the East Region. In her new role, Sam will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations and merchandising for the Deli/Bakery departments within the East Region.? ? Sam started with P&C Supermarkets in 2008 and over her 17-year career has held various positions including operations manager and assistant store manager.
