After years of decline due to big-box retailers and e-commerce, neighborhood strip malls are experiencing a resurgence in commercial real estate. Investors like Blackstone have taken notice, investing $4 billion in Retail Opportunity Investments, which owns around 90 shopping centers, primarily anchored by grocery stores.
