In today’s newsletter, we explore Infinita City, a bold experiment at the intersection of longevity, biotech, and startup innovation. Located within Próspera , a cutting-edge charter city on the island of Roatán, Honduras, Infinita City is more than just a pop-up, it’s a year-round hub where entrepreneurs and scientists push the boundaries of medical advancements. With over 85 startups and $3 million in funding, this pioneering community is accelerating breakthrough treatments like gene therapy at a fraction of the cost seen elsewhere. But beyond biotech, Infinita City is shaping the future of governance, attracting thought leaders like Naval Ravikant, Balaji Srinivasan, and Vitalik Buterin, and laying the groundwork for a new kind of network state. Could this be the model for the cities of tomorrow? Just a few days ago, Hugo Mathecowitsch, we unveiled our very first Digital Economic Zone! And what an incredible experience at Infinita City, a leading pop-up village in Próspera , where we... Met with the world's most important leaders in the blockchain industry. TftC was built on the belief that governance and economic infrastructure should evolve at the speed of innovation. Infinita embodies that spirit, an ephemeral yet powerful experiment where entrepreneurs, scientists, investors and builders come together to prototype the future. A little bit more on the event: over the past weeks, the place has been electric with breakthroughs in longevity biotech, human enhancement, crypto cities, and new financial architectures. But beyond the conversations and ideas, real projects are taking shape, real businesses are forming, and real capital is being deployed, creating a self-reinforcing loop. Our Digital Economic Zone is a natural extension of this momentum. In an era where outdated regulations slow progress, we aim to prove that a different model is possible—one where businesses can launch in days, not months, investors can back frontier technologies with a clear regulatory framework, and builders can operate in an environment designed for speed, agility, and global reach. The impact is already tangible. Infinita has attracted some of the sharpest minds, not just in the industry but across the globe, people like Balaji Srinivasan and Naval Ravikant. This year, the energy has only amplified. The Meet the Drapers pitch competition has brought in ambitious founders vying for a $1M investment from Tim Draper himself. New governance models are being tested, new ventures are being born, and the foundations of an entirely new kind of economic model is being laid. But this is only the beginning. Talking about our product: we are not just launching a Digital Economic Zone, but building a network of them, a new era where governance transcends physical locations and innovation is globally accelerated. If you believe in this vision, more than that, if you see yourself as part of this movement, now is the time to step in. The future isn’t waiting. Neither are we. We are also organizing weekly events, such as podcasts on YouTube, Spaces, and live sessions on X, to bring more people on board digitally. If you're interested in getting to know us more, send us a message, and let’s arrange a meeting or get you involved. Here comes Ipê Village, Brazil's first Pop-Up Village! Set in one of Brazil’s most iconic beachfronts today, Jurerê Internacional, Florianópolis. And we're talking international: a month of immersion with global leaders in emerging technologies, blockchain, and AI. Entrepreneurs, developers, policymakers, and investors at the forefront of innovation, coming together to prototype new models for cities and digital governance systems. Online communities already exist today as network societies, as we can see here on LinkedIn and even on X. That's why it's crucial to bring physicality to what already exists digitally. Going beyond what we see at typical industry events, such as conferences and hackathons, we present a format focused on cooperation, which will also serve as the birthplace for a new urban model, emphasizing decentralized governance, digital finance, and a new way of living and working together. On the other hand, Tools for the Commons enthusiastically supports all initiatives that take the concept of "The Network State" from paper to the real world. With our experience in creating digital economic zones, we believe in the power of pop-up villages to catalyze the cities of the future. What we saw in Crecimiento Argentina, Argentina, is just the beginning, and now it’s time for Brazil to take this path as well, so that we can soon have the country’s first charter cities. Together, our vision is clear: to create digital-first, techno-optimistic, inclusive, and efficient cities, built upon a global collaboration network in the startup model, as seen in Próspera, where the documentary produced by Jean Hansen [Founder of Ipê City] and supported by Tools for the Commons, The Network Society (link in the comments), was filmed. It’s important to emphasize that Ipê City is a long-term project with plans that go beyond the pop-up, and Ipê Village is definitely the first major step of this journey. 2025 is here, and it's time to have our home. https://www.ipe.city/ #Finance #Economy #Investment #Business #Startups #Organizations #Web3 #Blockchain #NetworkState #US #UK #EU

Founder of LIT Collective, a design studio helping businesses navigate the next era of the internet. In this episode, we’re thrilled to have Cecília - who is also an active contributor at Tools for the Commons - join us, and shares her take on how digital cooperatives are shaping the crypto economy and how they contribute into the building of "The Network State". We dive into how new organizational models are set to redefine work, ownership, incentives, and governance, paving the way for decentralized ecosystems that are more inclusive, participatory, profitable, and still sustainable. We also get into the role of design in building digital communities, the opportunities to fund and structure these networks, and how initiatives like Ipê City, founded by Jean Hansen, are putting these concepts to the test in the real world. Stay tuned; the episode is packed with insights on the future of digital collaboration!
