Central States Manufacturing announced an expansion in Tooele City?in June 2023, after working with EDCUtah and several Utah partners to evaluate locations for their next manufacturing facility. Tooele City Corporation is thrilled to be the home of this new facility! Leitner-Poma Of America is a forward-thinking and innovative company that chose a strategic location to support their growth!
Leitner-Poma Of America held a ribbon cutting for their new 130,000 square-foot facility in Tooele City, Utah. Leitner-Poma came to Utah as an EDCUtah project, with tax increment financing awarded by the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity. R&O Construction, an EDCUtah Investor, constructed the new concrete tilt-up facility in an astounding 10 months. Leitner-Poma of America is expanding its capacity to build ski lifts, snow cats, snow-making machines, and other cable-based transportation systems. They plan to install a wind turbine on site from their sister company, Leitwind. Their company will employ 120 people at the facility. This project is an excellent example of how EDCUtah connects expanding companies with the communities and private sector investors within our network. Congratulations to Leitner-Poma Of America, Tooele City Corporation, and the other organizations involved. You can experience Leitner-Poma's ski lifts at Snowbasin and Alta ski resorts.
