Invest in women and whole communities thrive. ??? ? Just like elsewhere in the world, #genderinequality in many cocoa-growing regions is still the rule, not the exception. And too many women go unpaid for the work they do.?? ? That’s why the Chocolonely Foundation has partnered with 100WEEKS for the last 8 years, supporting female entrepreneurship in C?te d’Ivoire + Ghana.?? While our efforts are focused on changing the cocoa industry from within, we launched the #ChocolonelyFoundation to go beyond the bean – giving back to the communities we depend on to make our chunky chocolate. ?? Every year, we contribute 1% of our global revenue to the Foundation, so it can support bold, game-changing initiatives, like 100WEEKS. ? Let’s keep raising the bar so we can raise the floor – for everyone.? ? #IWD25 #InternationalWomensDay #cocoacommunities #beyondthebean #genderequality #chocolateindustry
关于我们
Tony’s Chocolonely is an impact company that makes chocolate, committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. And not just the cocoa in our chocolate, but in all chocolate worldwide. Tony's Chocolonely was founded in 2005 by 3 journalists from the Dutch TV show ‘Keuringsdienst van Waarde’ after they discovered that the world’s largest chocolate manufacturers were buying cocoa from plantations that used illegal labor. Since then, we've dedicated our efforts to raising awareness of and eliminating inequality in the cocoa industry, becoming the #1 chocolate brand in the Netherlands. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example and show the world that chocolate can be made differently: in taste, packaging and the way we do business with cocoa farmers. Starting with paying them a higher price. Alone, we’ll end exploitation in our cocoa supply chain, but together we can change the industry across the globe. That's why we invite everyone to join our commitment. 'Cause it's only together that we'll end exploitation in cocoa.

Hey #EuropeanCommission, let’s talk plain and simple.. ?? The #Omnibus Package you’re proposing? We can’t accept it. ’Cause it’ll undo years of negotiations to get crucial laws over the line that protect both the planet and basic human rights. ??? Your goal shouldn’t be to simplify and weaken upcoming legislation. Why? ’Cause we all know that strong legislation is the only way to hold business accountable and inspire global change. At Tony’s, we’ve been loud and clear about the need for mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence legislation, standing side by side with Lara Wolters. ?? We gathered 66k signatures to present to Commissioner Didier Reynders, made noise in Brussels, and signed letters and statements together with the #CocoaCoalition. We were never in scope for the #CSDDD, yet we prove every day that supply chain due diligence is possible – because we do it. And we believe all businesses should do the same. So, we’re calling on all co-legislators (EP + Council) to reject this package and focus on what really matters: delivering clear guidelines + tools businesses can use to comply with these new laws – as they previously agreed. Who’s with us? ?? Ben & Jerry's, Oatly, Patagonia, innocent drinks, Fairtrade International, B Lab Europe, Zeeman textielSupers, LUSH, JOKOLADE, Albert Heijn, ALDI SüD, Pukka Herbs, MVO Nederland, International Cocoa Initiative, MVO Platform, Triodos Bank, Kathleen Van Brempt, Samira Rafaela, Adrian Vazquez Lazara Adrian Vazquez Lazara, Rapha?l GLUCKSMANN, Axel Voss, Heidi Hautala #CSDDDD, #HumanRights, #DueDiligence, #EU

Proper nuts to go nuts over! ???? Dutch cashew brand Johnny Cashew (B. Corp) has just joined Tony’s Open Chain and, with that, our fight to end exploitation in cocoa.? To celebrate, they’ve launched a limited-edition snack: Milk Chocolate Honey & Sea Salt Cashews, marking their first venture into the world of cocoa. All cocoa used is sourced through Tony’s Open Chain, according to Tony’s 5 Sourcing Principles. ???? Our 5 Sourcing Principles include paying farmers a higher price long-term to enable them to earn a living income, investing in productivity + using 100% traceable beans to drive down child labor and prevent deforestation. ?? ? Johnny + Tony’s.. that's sweet, salty, crispy and chewy at the same time and, most importantly, double guilt-free – as both cashew and cocoa farmers are treated and paid fairly. ?? As a Mission Ally, Johnny Cashew joins other friends like Albert Heijn, Waitrose & Partners, Ben & Jerry's and HEMA – bringing our grand total to a whoppin’ 20 (including Tony's)! Sooo.. Who’s next? ?? ??? ? #cocoa #chocolate #cashew #tonyschocolonely #tonysopenchain #impact #chocolatesnack #fairtrade

Prepping for a 1:1 with your manager? ?? ’Cause we’ve got another *massive* achievement to add to your list.. ???? By sharing our chocolate (and our story!), you’ve been driving real change for thousands of cocoa-farming families in Ghana + C?te d’Ivoire. ?? Last year alone, you enabled.. ?? 20,296 cocoa farmers to be paid a higher price, so they can achieve a living income ?????? 1,718 children to get out of child labor, further reducing prevalence at our long-term partners from 4.4% to 3.9% ?? 26,536 cocoa farms to be verified as deforestation-free How? Because all (yes, all!) of our cocoa is responsibly sourced according to Tony’s 5 Sourcing Principles. ? This means we trace every bean we buy + invest in farmers’ climate resilience. And so do all our Mission Allies – aka the 19 other brands that source cocoa via Tony’s Open Chain.?? Here’s to making even more impact this year as we keep growing our movement for change! Because together, we will break the mold to end exploitation in cocoa. Wanna dive into the details? Another story to sweeten your scroll! ???? We’re back with another Bar of the Month post, celebrating how other brands have used our custom chocolate bars to tell their stories. This time, we’re unwrapping a festive treat from feltenpersonal, who crafted a custom bar to spread some joy among their team. ??? They went full-on holiday mode, designing a bar that’s basically a chocolate version of your nan’s knitted sweater – cozy, nostalgic and (thankfully) way tastier. Plus, the design nods to their tradition of gifting Christmas trees to their employees every year. They delivered their very merry masterpiece along with their December pay slips, staying true to their motto: “Sweets in every pay slip.” Feeling inspired?
