You can download this file for free and help your friend!?? https://lnkd.in/eZcmGNct ??About Cutting Board for Use with One Hand is a simple, cheap, and easy to manufacture solution with metal clip handles that are attached to an existing thin cutting board and a vegetable catcher that attaches to the center of the board allows cutting and transferring vegetables to a bowl with one hand. The team: Raz Israel, Nitzan Tabib WHO? The product is intended for people with one functioning hand due to amputation, stroke, or other conditions. Cutting board for use with one hand was designed with and for Shiri and the therapeutic kitchen team at Loewenstein rehabilitation hospital. The team developed the solution as part of the "Fixperts" course in the Industrial Design department at Holon Institue of Technology and have won the Most Inclusive Design award at GIC 2021 ??. WHY? People with one functioning hand have difficulty functioning independently in the kitchen. Our product facilitates them in several operations in the cooking process and allows them independence in trivial operations in the kitchen. HOW? We found a simple, cheap and easy to manufacture solution. Any “Handyman” can produce our product easily. The feedback we received from the patients in the therapeutic kitchen was very gratifying. The product seems to have met their needed. WHAT? Metal clips handles that interface to an existing thin cutting board, and a vegetable catcher that attaches to the center of the board and allows cutting and transferring vegetables to a bowl with one hand. How: This solution utilizes the principle of leverage to help users open cans on their own by converting the "pull" action to a "push" action - all one needs to do is hook the key of the tool and push. The Christopher Reeve Story: Christopher Reeve, born on September 25, 1952, in New York City, was only 24 years old when he starred in the 1978 film Superman. After the film's release, Newsweek reported, "Christopher Reeve's entire performance is a delight. Ridiculously handsome, with a face as sharp and strong as an ax blade, his lumbering, lumbering Clark Kent and the all-powerful Superman are simply two styles of gallantry and innocence." Christopher Reeve's Life-Altering Accident However, everything changed on May 27, 1995, when a horse-riding accident crushed Reeve's cervical vertebrae, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Despite this severe spinal cord injury and resulting disability, Reeve demonstrated incredible resilience.
