TomKat Safety is not just a training company, we are a company that truly cares about the safety of each and every worker. Tommy Lee, founder of TomKat Safety, has a strong background in the trades, he knows how the job sites work. He understands the priorities that are placed on the workers. But most of all he knows how to incorporate safety into the job sites daily work routines. Our main goal is about keeping the “worker” safe but we also want the employers to avoid fines from OSHA. We work very hard to achieve both.

    What a great time we had at Thompson Electric, Inc. in Monroe Falls, Ohio talking about fall protection for 2 days. From the moment I walked into the building I felt a strong safety culture. You can easily tell that TEI really cares about the safety of each employee. Thanks to Mike T. For putting this trailing together. A special thanks to Matt with FallTech for bringing his drop trailer out to demonstrate the difference between a 6’ free fall in a lanyard vs a retractable. What an eye opener.

    Hats off and a very special thank you to APEX Warehouse Systems, INC. out of West Chicago for hosting a 16-Hour Competent Person Course in Fall Protection. These guys knocked it out of the park this week when they presented their fall protection/rescue plan. A huge thank you goes out to Marc Rafac (for left) for setting this training up and hosting TomKat Safety this week. Fall Protection remains the #1 most cited violation from OSHA and the fatal falls keep climbing as well. I honestly think that we can prevent all falls from heights. At least all fatal falls. “You may never know the lives you saves by the words you speak, but you will never forget that one person that died because you didn’t say anything”. #fallprotection #safety #tomkatsafety #osha #seesomethingsaysomething
