I’m a 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 Recipient (!!) One year ago, I made the crazy decision to turn down my “dream job” to pursue transforming an IG community into a nonprofit. A year later, Black Girl Environmentalist has hired 3 full-time staff, grown our membership base to 800+, and hosted 50+ events across our 10 HUB cities. In 2023 alone, BGE has been recognized in the The New York Times, Vogue, NPR, ESSENCE Girls United, Fast Company, Teen Vogue, Axios, and now Forbes! This recognition is a collective effort and I wouldn’t be here without my amazing team, org members, partners, and funders that believe in our mission to empower the next generation of Black women climate leaders ???? It’s been an extremely rewarding, exhausting, and humbling year and I am so grateful. I can’t wait to see all that team BGE accomplishes in 2024! P.S.
