What a wonderful afternoon celebrating Heart Health at this years Go Red for Women event! Did you know, that nearly half of women ages 20 and older are living with some form of cardiovascular disease (CVD), the No. 1 killer of women. The Area Office on Aging is proud to support women's heart health! Take care of your heart now so you can live Better & Longer!

It's Ohio Loves Transit Week! We're celebrating the vital role that public transit plays in the lives of the 60+ community we serve. Thanks TARTA for supporting older adults in many ways, including getting to that doctor's appointment, to see friends, to church and of course home safely and on time! Support local and ride the transit!

This Black History Month we want to bring awareness to healthcare disparities of Black communities. To help you, we will be attending several health fairs and events to help promote the well being of older adults. We'll provide those details on our social media.

Happy Holidays from the Area Office on Aging! We look forward to the New Year as we continue to serve older adults aged 60+, caregivers, and those with disabilities live Better & Longer.

Baby it's cold outside but that did not stop our Designated Exemplary Kinship Navigator Program team from making sure our kinship families are ready for Christmas! They braved the cold yesterday dancing, singing and handing out hundreds of meals from Mobile Meals of Toledo to grandparents & relatives raising grandchildren in our area! This is one of the many celebrations they host for the families they serve! Happy Holidays!

Thank you State Rep. Michele Grim! Standing behind the Area Office on Aging we were selected to receive funding from a 540 thousand dollar grant from the Ohio Department of Development! This will continue to support Northwest Ohio Seniors receiving home delivered meals as well as support the Ability Center's Home Accessibility Program!
