We’re thrilled to announce on of the latest additions to our collection! Helina Metaferia’s ‘Crown (Taytu)’ is on display in Ethiopia at the Crossroad exhibition until November 10th, 2024. This piece is a brass sculpture with etching made in 2023 is on display with more than 225 historic and contemporary works spanning nearly 2,000 years of extraordinary history and artistic traditions. Opened in 2006, the Glass Pavilion at the Toledo Museum of Art is a modernist gem designed by the award-winning SANAA, showcasing their mastery in architectural glass. This 74,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility houses Toledo’s renowned glass collection, honoring the city’s role as the cradle of the Studio Glass Movement. Featuring curved glass panels, steel supports, and a minimalist design, the Pavilion exemplifies high-tech modernity. You may be familiar with TMA's Self-Guided Audio Tours, but did you know we offer Touch Tours as well? In collaboration with the Sight Center, our Touch Tours are designed for guests who are blind or have low vision to engage with works of art. Each tour includes the opportunity to touch sculptures in the TMA galleries guided by trained Docents.
