NYC’s hospitality industry pros can get a close-up look at the Customized Employment approach after Job Path was featured in a video on the website for the networking group, Together Hospitality. The video interview is between the group’s President Kate Edwards and Kelly McGrath, who was recently named Coordinator for the Consortium for Customized Employment (CCE,) a project of Job Path. “That’s what I loved hearing is how you try and find a specific job or task that might be onerous, or challenging, or difficult, or not being done by the organization and you identify that task so someone specifically can fill it,” says Edwards.? McGrath, who most recently was an employment specialist at Job Path says: “We go in so the business feels like they are gaining something as well - it’s actually to fulfill a need.” Twice a year, Together Hospitality selects a nonprofit to serve as a Social Impact partner inviting the organization’s staff to participate in networking opportunities. Job Path recently concluded its term for that role.
