NEW DATA: Federal Grant Freeze & SC Nonprofits Together SC surveyed nonprofits across the state to understand the potential impact of the January 27 OMB Memo on federal grants. While the full freeze is currently under injunction, selective pauses are still happening. Here’s what we learned from 119 responses: ?? 80% of nonprofits believe they may be impacted by a federal grant freeze. ?? $235 million in funding identified as at risk. ?? Nonprofits rely on 20+ federal sources for critical programs. ?? Potential impacts: job cuts, fewer services, even full program shutdowns. ?? What’s Next? Advocacy remains essential.
