A Sneak Peek at the New Boston Visibility RFI.” With a growing interest in Direct Vision and increasing visibility from the driver’s seat, the City of Boston has issued an innovative Request for Information (RFI) asking vehicle manufacturers (OEMS) to provide insights into how they plan to downsize, rightsize, electrify, and increase the direct vision of their product lines. The National Safety Council’s Road to Zero Coalition has published an important new report — “Massive Hazards: How Bigger, Heavier Light Trucks Endanger Lives on American Roads” — which evaluates the research on safety risks of oversize vehicles, and offers contributions from experts across the road safety field on how to mitigate them. TSR is proud to have contributed to this timely and critical resource.
