Drones are changing the way we build—offering a new perspective on safety, site management, and progress tracking. From identifying potential hazards before they happen to enhancing jobsite efficiency, TOCCI's Safety Director Matthew Chasse, CSP, CHST Chasse shares how we leverage drone technology to keep projects on track and teams safe.

Our team was thrilled to host the RI Executive Office of Health and Human Services and show the incredible progress on this jobsite. TOCCI worked with n|e|m|d architects, inc., The State of Rhode Island, and our experienced MEP trade partners to secure a $28M change order that will upgrade critical infrastructure at Eleanor Slater Hospital. These efforts, led by Wayne Arruda, ensure that the facility will serve the Rhode Island community for decades to come. The change order - which spans major electrical, HVAC, and fire protection systems- was executed all while the project is actively under construction! In celebration of Black History Month, we're shining a light on the 6888th Battalion - the only all-Black, all-female unit to serve overseas in WWII. Tasked with clearing a 17-million-piece mail backlog, these women worked tirelessly to reconnect soldiers with home, boosting morale on the front lines. Steady progress continues at Eleanor Slater Hospital as we tackle challenges from top to bottom. In the penthouse, significant demolition work is underway to replace key mechanical units, with the team removing insulated panels for access and ensuring they can be reinstalled seamlessly. On the roof, Superintendent Edward Farrell + Assistant Superintendent David Gomes' carpentry expertise has been critical - designing protective enclosures for sensitive equipment and building a secure platform to safely access hard-to-reach areas. On levels six through three, rough electrical and plumbing inspections are signed off, walls are being insulated and closed, and framing for soffits and radiant panels is taking shape.
