We believe that American democracy is, at its heart, a bottom up operation, and that citizenship —?which comes with responsibilities — shouldn't be dull. We help other individuals and groups seeking to bridge divisions accelerate their impact.

COSSPP Friendly Disagreement Series - A more perfect union is always debatable. (Free event on Monday, March 24 - learn more at https://lnkd.in/d-pu3c-r They are not enemies, but friends. But boy do they disagree. John Wood is a conservative who ran for Congress. Ciaran O'Connor is a liberal who worked for two presidential candidates. These two real life friends and colleagues disagree on big things that matter. But working side-by-side with Braver Angels — an organization devoted to bringing reds and blues together to heal division — they've learned that mutual respect gets them through even the toughest policy disagreements. If that doesn't work, they've been seen on occasion singing a Hamilton duet. John and Ciaran will be at FSU on Monday, March 24th as the Florida State University College of Social Sciences & Public Policy launches the Friendly Disagreement Series, conversations between friends who don't look or think alike but make disagreement a powerful tool to achieve a more perfect union. The program is from 4 to 6pm in the FSU Medical School Auditorium. Food is offered between 4 and the 5pm program, so bring your appetite and possibly a disagreeing friend or two along for the fun.
