We would like to introduce you to the newest member of the Arctic Air Heating & Air Conditioning SkyCam Network... our own backyard! This is a project we've wanted to finish since we completed our new broadcast center late last year. We are blessed to have our facility next door to the Bobby Brewer Park Pond, a popular fishing and picnic site in Lawrenceburg, and the city's athletic complex seen in the distance of the attached image. The new "Backyard Cam" is currently featured in rotation on our live TV channel available on Roku, Amazon Fire, YouTube, and Apple TV plus still images at www.tnvalleyweather.com.

Tennessee Valley Weather launched April 12, 2020 to answer the need for enhanced local weather coverage in Southern Tennessee, North Alabama, and Northeast Mississippi. Our goal was simple: to provide the communities we serve with the most professional and accurate weather information possible. This led our team to become among the first in the nation to extend such coverage options to a given area using live Internet streaming technologies, mobile and smart television applications, and over-the-air content on affiliated radio stations. From utilizing our expansive network of weather sensors and cameras, to our powerful suite of Baron Weather computer systems, and our state-of-the-art broadcast center, the Tennessee Valley Weather Team stands equipped to meet the evolving challenges of forecasting and storm tracking in the heart of “Dixie Alley.” We work daily to answer the call that everyone in our coverage area is given fair, accurate, and as personalized weather coverage as possible, from sunny to stormy days alike. Such efforts have earned our crew distinction in the broadcast industry. In 2022, Tennessee Valley Weather was named “Best Public Service” in our division by the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters at its annual awards banquet. The honor highlighted our team’s coverage of a 2021 tornado event through Southern Middle Tennessee. In 2024, Tennessee Valley Weather won a Telly Award and a Communicator Award for "Excellence in Social Video News & Information" for the team's coverage the March 31 - April 1, 2023 EF-3 tornado. We are passionate about our operation because we’re offering a service to our home. Each member of our team is either “from around here” or has chosen to make their residence in the Tennessee Valley. Earlier this afternoon, we received our first Telly Award for our team coverage of the March 31 - April 1, 2023 EF-3 tornado. The Telly Awards annually showcases work from film, television, and digital media outlets from across the nation. Tennessee Valley Weather won bronze in the social media news event category. The Tellys are associated with the National Association of Broadcasters among other sponsoring agencies. This honor joins the Communicator Award we won a few months ago for the aforementioned tornado event. Our team is honored and humbled to be recognized by two national award companies for our efforts in Southern Tennessee, North Alabama, and Northeast Mississippi. Tennessee Valley Weather, a division of Tennessee Valley Media Group based in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, has been named a winner in the 2024 Communicator Awards for Excellence in Social Video News & Information. The honor was given for the weather team’s multi-hour coverage of the March 31 - April 1, 2023 Tornado event. “Anytime we are honored, from something like this to a simple thank you from a viewer, it means the world to each member of our team,” stated Ben Luna, owner and managing meteorologist of Tennessee Valley Weather. “At the end of the day, we are just doing our jobs to provide accurate, local, and professional weather coverage to our neighbors,” Luna continued. The Communicator Awards is sanctioned and reviewed by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, an invitation-only group consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.
