Each year, from November 13-19, TNG Consulting, ATIXA (Association of Title IX Administrators), and NABITA (National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment) amplify the voices of the trans community during Transgender Awareness Week. It serves as a crucial opportunity to educate ourselves and others about the challenges faced by trans individuals, including barriers to healthcare, education, and employment. Trans individuals, particularly trans women and people of color, experience disproportionately high levels of violence, discrimination, and poverty. Let’s share stories, raise awareness, eliminate violence, and elevate trans voices. Learn more and get involved here: https://hubs.li/Q02Y2GmR0

Each October, TNG Consulting, ATIXA (Association of Title IX Administrators), and NABITA (National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment) observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month by raising awareness about the devastating impact of domestic violence and connecting with individuals and organizations dedicated to fostering change. We are deeply committed to supporting victims and advancing education and prevention efforts aimed at ending domestic violence. Domestic violence, or intimate partner violence, is a pervasive issue. Survivors often face an increased risk of depression, anxiety, substance misuse disorders, and complex trauma that disrupts their ability to trust and form relationships. The impact extends beyond the individuals directly involved, affecting families, friends, and workplaces. Let's work together in the fight against domestic violence. Equip your team to recognize, prevent, and respond to intimate partner violence by participating in ATIXA's training: https://hubs.li/Q02SL6KC0

October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, a crucial time to highlight the importance of creating safe and supportive environments for everyone. Initially declared in 2006, this month serves as a reminder of the devastating impacts bullying can have on children and families, including increased anxiety, depression, and school avoidance. Bullying takes many forms, including verbal, physical, and online (cyberbullying), and its consequences are far-reaching. According to a 2022 Pew Research Center survey, nearly half of U.S. teens ages 13 to 17 reported experiencing cyberbullying. At TNG Consulting, ATIXA (Association of Title IX Administrators), and NABITA (National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment), we are committed to fostering environments where bullying is not tolerated. We encourage educational institutions and workplaces to evaluate their anti-bullying policies and promote a culture of kindness, inclusivity, and respect. TNG Consulting, ATIXA (Association of Title IX Administrators), and NABITA (National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment) recognize National Hazing Prevention Week from September 23-27, dedicated to discussing the pervasive issue of hazing in schools nationwide. This observance offers educational institutions a valuable opportunity to evaluate their hazing policies and promote a culture of respect. Although 44 of the 50 U.S. states have anti-hazing laws, their effectiveness varies widely, and we must turn awareness into action.
