CG Model Tek LLC announced today it would establish operations in Coffee County. The aerospace modeling and manufacturing company will create 32 new jobs and invest $4.5 million in Tullahoma, Tennessee, through purchasing assets of longtime Tullahoma company Micro Craft. Read more:

Last week, TNECD Chief Policy Officer Braden Stover joined industry experts at the Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council’s annual meeting, hosted by Schneider Electric in Nashville. Stover participated in a panel alongside Tracy Boatner (East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC)), Jeff Smith (UT System) and Chief Brandon Gibson (Gov. In Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development's 2024 annual report, nuclear energy was named one of the top industries in Tennessee ?? As a hub for science and technology since the 1940s, Tennessee is primed for nuclear innovation with world-class institutions like Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Arnold Engineering Development Complex and an extensive university network. “Tennessee is rapidly becoming the epicenter of new nuclear and leading America’s energy independence. This morning, Clarksville unveiled new LiDAR sensor technology to enhance traffic safety—thanks to a TNGO grant awarded to Vanderbilt University. LiDAR creates precise 3D models of traffic patterns to improve signal timings, optimize flow and reduce accidents. This project, a collaboration between Vanderbilt, Clarksville, Austin Peay State University, Ouster, Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure, Tennessee State University and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, was funded in TNGO's inaugural round to address key mobility challenges. ??

Today, our team celebrated the groundbreaking of Anderson-DuBose’s new distribution facility in Jefferson City, Tennessee. ?? Last October, the international food distributor announced a $40 million investment to establish its first Tennessee operations. As a major supplier for McDonald's, this facility will support up to 450 restaurant locations across the region, strengthening our state's role in the global supply chain.

Tennessee RiverLine recently recognized award recipients at the organization's 2024 annual summit. Among the accolades announced, the paddling activity during the 2024 Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) annual conference in Chattanooga won the "Powered by Partnerships" award.
