In response to the extensive devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, which has severely impacted Tennessee and other Southeastern states, the National Business Aviation Association has activated its Humanitarian Emergency Response Operator (HERO) database to mobilize the business aviation industry for critical relief efforts. With many communities in Tennessee and across the region suffering from the loss of vital infrastructure like electricity and water, the HERO database facilitates the connection of available aircraft, personnel, and resources for relief missions. As we confront an estimated $15 billion to $100 billion in catastrophic damage, we urge our aviation community to lend a helping hand and support those in need through this essential initiative. TnBAA had an exciting September! We kicked things off with a co-hosted tour of the Beechcraft Heritage Museum in Tullahoma with our partners at the TENNESSEE AVIATION ASSOCIATION! Then, we had our Chattanooga Aircraft Static Display and Luncheon on September 19th, hosted at Wilson Air Center Chattanooga. The event showcased an impressive lineup of aircraft, and attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch generously sponsored by West Star Aviation, LLC. A big thank you to everyone who joined us for this fantastic event! We closed out the month on September 24th, we headed to Memphis for our Food Truck Luncheon at Wilson Air Center Memphis. Aviation professionals gathered for an afternoon filled with great food and even better conversations. We’re so grateful to everyone who came out and helped make this month a success! All events were wonderful opportunities to connect with fellow members, our partner companies, and celebrate Tennessee's vibrant aviation community.
