A journey that began in 2019, in Itta Bena, MS at Mississippi Valley State University culminated last Tuesday evening, at BlackRock headquarters in NYC, when?I had a full circle moment. ?? There I got to speak on my experiences as a Thurgood Marshall College Fund Scholar, a title I wear proudly. That came from various interactions with the organization and the platform to share just how much I gained was deeply appreciated because I attribute multiple of my undergraduate successes and even holding my degrees to them. However those successes were not made alone, and could only be achieved through the backing from donations to this monumental nonprofit. Therefore I want to extend a huge thank you to each and everyone of the corporate sponsors in attendance, National Hockey League (NHL), HPS Investment Partners, LLC, HSBC, Equitable, AllianceBernstein + BlackRock and further more the individuals in each respective organizations who saw it as important to do the work to develop these collaborations. (Honorable mention to those with BlackRock I had the pleasure of dining with! Eion D'Anjou, Michelle Gadsden-Williams , Sydney Grissom, Willie Alford II, Wayne Fitzgerald, Daniel Hibbert, Richard Kushel, & Michael Patterson, CFA ) At this first 2025 CEO Impact Now the recipient Mr. Adebayo Ogunlesi shared insights on his experiences with Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall and how those experiences got him where he is today on a panel with Ms. Racquel Oden and a WHOPPING $500,000 was earned to support students in the very position I was once in. My story is not one had in a silo because there are so many others like me attending our outstanding HBCUs today (like these amazing scholars I met Brandon Poplar, Amiya Tucker, Zion Asamoah) alongside those of us already making impact in our respective fields such as attendee Ashton J. Minor, M.Ed., and each of us is profoundly impacted by that support given. While we all may go on to achieve different things in multiple places we are united in being able to achieve our goals, and reach greatness because of TMCF, and the amazing people who built, and uphold it. (Harry L. Williams, Tamaria Kai Perry, Moseka Medlock, LaShonda Hairston, Christopher Toney, Jairamie King, Johnnie Lonon, Clara Ross Stamps, Ed.D., & Aisha Brown) Thank you all for not just the chance to speak to my story, but for helping write it ?? …and for an amazing evening! ? #HBCU #TMCF #MVSU #MSValleyState #CEOImpactNow #BlackRock #HSBC #NHL #HowardUniversity #Innovators

I am proud to share that I am officially a 2025 Adobe Immersive Consulting Fellow! I am deeply honored to have been selected from over a thousand applicants to attend the inaugural 2025 Adobe Immersion Experience with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Marshall College Fund. Being 1 of just 44 talented HBCU students provided an incredible opportunity to network, refine my professional skills, and gain invaluable insights into Adobe’s dynamic culture. Throughout this transformative week, I connected with senior Adobe leaders, sat in on phenomenal speaker sessions, and worked alongside fellow HBCU scholars in a collaborative consulting case study led by Adobe solutions consultants. As part of our pitch, we leveraged Adobe Express and integrated Adobe Experience Manager—powerful tools that truly showcase the innovative spirit of Adobe’s ecosystem. I also participated in a meaningful community service activity by making stuffed bears for the local Boys & Girls Club, which allowed me to give back and further strengthen the connections made during this unforgettable experience. I express my immense gratitude to Mo Ramos, Shaina Singleton, MPA, MBA, Joshua O'Bryant, BA,CCSP, and the entire Adobe and TMCF team for their guidance and support during this amazing experience. #AdobeFellow #AdobeXTMCF #AdobeConsluting #HBCU

First time in California! First time attending TMCF programming! First time at Adobe’s Headquarters! Last week was a week of firsts, and I feel incredibly privileged to have been one of 44 students selected from over 1,000 applicants for the inaugural Adobe x Thurgood Marshall College Fund Immersion Program. Each day of programming was intentionally designed to give us a full experience of Adobe’s culture, from executive speaker sessions and panel discussions to one-on-one networking, a meaningful CSR initiative, and hands-on breakout sessions in the Sales, Consulting, and Technology tracks. Through this experience, I gained a deeper understanding of Adobe’s groundbreaking innovations and the processes behind them, stepped outside my comfort zone, and even learned more about myself. This opportunity reinforced the power of community, creativity, and continuous learning, values that Adobe truly embodies. Special thanks to Mo Ramos, Shaina Singleton, MPA, MBA, Tristin R., Joshua O'Bryant, BA,CCSP and all the Adobe volunteers for your support and encouragement throughout this experience. And of course, a huge shoutout to my incredible cohort. I’m excited for what’s next! Want to learn more about yourself too? Take Adobe’s Creative Type test! ???? https://lnkd.in/efAiMc3P #Adobelife #ThurgoodMarshallCollegeFund #HBCUPride
