Noticias Telemundo and Axios have teamed up to co-host events during the Republican and Democratic conventions featuring in-depth conversations with leading Latino voices on the potential impact Latino voters have to shape this year’s elections. In partnership with MediaWise of the Poynter Institute and with support from Google News Initiative, Noticias Telemundo launched new Spanish-language media literacy resources ahead of the upcoming elections. Noticias Telemundo has expanded its programming with Noticias Telemundo Ahora, a new 24/7 FAST channel available on NoticiasTelemundo.com, the Telemundo app and the Noticias Telemundo app, with additional platforms rolling out throughout the year. Noticias Telemundo Ahora taps into Noticias Telemundo’s award-winning journalism on linear and digital, offering the latest news and high-profile interviews with newsmakers. Damià S. Last week, Noticias Telemundo and Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY hosted an in-depth conversation that explored how the Latino vote will shape the 2024 election. The political power of Latinos has increased with each election, and this year, some 36 million Latino voters are eligible to vote. The panel discussion featured Democratic strategist Chuck Rocha and Republican consultant Mike Madrid. The conversation and Q&A were moderated by Noticias Telemundo’s ARANTXA LOIZAGA.
