For GIS Day 2024, we are highlighting Community Engagement: The Key to Project Success! At TKDA, we believe that community engagement is not just a requirement but a vital ingredient in ensuring the success of any project. Over the past year, our team has taken a significant step forward by transitioning to a data-centric engagement model powered by the robust suite of Esri products. Our transportation and aviation planning teams have embraced ArcGIS StoryMaps to inform the community at every stage. From interactive project maps that show schedules and phasing to providing easy access to project contact information, ArcGIS StoryMaps helps us foster transparent and effective communication. Additionally, ArcGIS Survey123 has become an essential tool for gathering insights directly from those who live, work, and commute in the project area. By collecting real-time data and feedback, we can capture the community’s voice and integrate it into the project. By leveraging GIS technology, we are not just planning infrastructure—we are creating a collaborative environment that leads to more successful, community-driven outcomes. #GIS #CommunityEngagement #Esri #StoryMaps #Survey123 #ProjectSuccess #Infrastructure #TransportationPlanning #AviationPlanning #GISDay2024

Replacing diesel school buses with electric buses helps improve air quality, save money for school districts, and reduce carbon emissions. State and federal funding for school bus electrification is becoming more common, and Minnesota is no exception. To encourage Minnesota school districts to adopt electric school buses, the Minnesota Department of Commerce is administering grants. Learn how we help your school push for cleaner air and reduced emissions through electric school buses and charging equipment: https://bit.ly/4htKHLP
