? Reflecting on an Incredible Experience at the WEBS Competition! ? I had so much fun participating in this unique challenge, where students tackled real-world business problems and crafted innovative solutions. Tizana Mexicana was one of the featured businesses, and we had five incredible teams writing white papers to help us scale sustainably while staying true to our mission. A huge congratulations to the finalists and winners: Team Problem Solvers and The Crafters! ?? Seeing their dedication, creativity, and strategic thinking truly inspired me. What touched me the most was how Tizana Mexicana’s story resonated with them. They deeply connected with the feeling of nostalgia—that longing for something familiar, something that represents you. Like going to a store and picking out a cup of coffee, not just for the drink, but because it’s the same one your grandma used to have. These small, everyday moments shape our identity and connection to culture. I also loved how excited the students were about Tizana Mexicana! Or as they called it, "Texicana" (jiji ??). Seeing their enthusiasm and engagement fuels me to keep going. Their insights made me reflect on the future of Tizana Mexicana—beyond the Latino community, so many other communities experience this deep connection to heritage and identity. A huge shout-out to the other inspiring businesses in the competition: ?? Madhurima Manchala, Founder & CEO of Maps.ai – a trusted, accessible, and effective AI-powered mental health solution in a competitive and evolving market. ?? Madison Heisterman, Founder & CEO of Naturally Contained, LLC – Creating sustainable, eco-friendly solutions for containers to soil manufacturers as an alternative to plastic bags. It was an honor to share this space with such talented, driven entrepreneurs. Women supporting women, innovation driving impact—that’s what this is all about! ?? I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity, for the students who brought fresh perspectives, and for everyone who believes in the power of culture, craftsmanship, and identity. ?? #Entrepreneurship #FairTrade #WomenInBusiness #LatinaFounder #TizanaMexicana #CommunityImpact #BusinessInnovation #WEBSCompetition UW Foster School of Business #welead
