    Hi all! I know many people are concerned about Trump’s potential 60% tariff for those sourcing from China, but we don’t all need to jump ship and move to another country. There are some simple and actionable steps that can help make your business more defensible during this time: 1. Check your margins. Could they withstand a 60% duty increase? 2. Consider increasing retail prices. Monitor the market to see if average retail prices in your niche are rising. 3. Review your supply chain. Can we examine our yearly forecast and see if it’s possible to order and ship products early (to beat the tariff announcement)? Check and compare your 3PL costs to see if this could save money or if it will increase costs compared to potential new tariffs. 4. Negotiate with your supplier. See if they can help absorb some of the additional burden. If they want to secure your business, they may be willing to assist. Strong relationships are essential here. 5. Identify cost-saving areas. Are there parts of your business where you could cut costs? This includes shipping, forecasting, FLC, 3PL costs, packaging. Realistically, we’re likely to see an increase in retail prices for products and commodities in the USA, which will initially impact the cost of living. The USA has not yet developed the infrastructure to fully replace China’s role in supply chains. This shift will only happen (if at all) after new trade agreements, alliances, and domestic trade investments are made. My advice is to work through these five points, recheck your margins, and explore other ways to save. Moving your product line entirely is not essential at this time. However, if you want to test the market with new products sourced from a different country, consider introducing new products rather than relocating existing ones—this approach carries less risk and is a good opportunity to test and adapt.     ??What are your TOP TIPS for promotions and deals for Black Friday / Cyber Monday?? We'll go first: ? Choose the BF+CM combined PED. Amazon offers 3 windows for PEDs, tick the box that says: “Is this a Black Friday and a Cyber Monday discount?” - The total promotion time will run for 12 days 21 Nov - 2 Dec but it’s the only window that covers both BF and CM. ? Choose 1 of the 3 PED windows to get the badge!! You need to tick one of the 3 deal windows to get the red badge. If you input the PED dates manually, you will not get a red deal badge ? You don’t have to run the discount for 12 days! You can suppress / unsuppress SKUs in your PED at any time by increasing your price above the max price Amazon allows. When you submit these changes it will suppress the SKUs that do not meet the pricing rules and revert to your normal price. This allows you to control how many days you run the promotional price for. So you don’t have to run it for the full 12 days, if you don’t want to.
