?? A Mission Moment That Hits Close to Home ?? My lovely and precious grandmother broke her nose shortly after this photo was taken. She went to an urgent care in my home town, where they referred her to the local ENT specialists (luckily a partner of Titan Intake). The next day, she got a text powered by Titan Intake, called the number, and the clinic immediately pulled up her already-processed, urgently-marked referral. By that afternoon, she had her appointment scheduled and was on her way to getting the care she needed. Without Titan’s text, she likely would have waited a couple of days to hear anything, delaying her care. This story really made me emotional—knowing that our work had a direct and positive impact on someone I love so much. It’s a powerful reminder that what we do matters. Titan Intake is not just about automating workflows; it’s about helping real people get the care they need, when they need it. My family's experience with the inefficiencies in healthcare set me on a path to solve this problem through Titan Intake. However, Titan Intake wasn't the first company I'd founded to solve a problem that was personal to me. In 2018 I lost my cousin to suicide. I coped with the sudden loss by obsessing over how to help others who were suffering with mental illness. The result was my first company, Strides.

Before AI takes on clinical roles, let’s focus on the back office. Healthcare AI has massive potential, but with the risk of hallucinations and randomness, patient-facing tasks are risky places to start. Back-office and administrative workflows, however, are prime candidates for AI transformation. Think about areas like billing, scheduling, and claims processing—these tasks are critical, but mistakes here don’t carry the same life-or-death stakes as errors in patient care. Starting in the back office allows AI to prove its value while vendors fine-tune accuracy and reliability in lower-risk environments.
