The countdown to Tiny Spaces has begun!!! T-minus 24 hours to get your hands on one.
In 24 hours, we will answer a major question for Tiny Earth Toys. It is not very often you get clear answers to the toughest questions plaguing your startup's existence. But tomorrow, May 14th at 12pm eastern, we will know if there is sufficient demand for the product we've spent 6 months building to bring it to market using Kickstarter. Reflecting on the last 6 months, we: ?? Noticed a major trend in the stagnant dollhouse category ? Conducted primary and secondary research on imaginative play and parent preferences ?? Invented a completely new solution for imaginative play that will stay in use for generations ?? Built a waitlist of 5,000 families interested in pre-ordering our product ?? Traveled across the globe to find the best manufacturing partner ?? Launched a Kickstarter campaign to generate the interest and capital needed to bring this solution to market And tomorrow, the true test of our research, demand testing, innovation and preparation will be completed. To say we are excited is an understatement. We're feeling all the feelings. Anxious nervous, thrilled, ready and ultimately proud. If you have mental capacity, send some positive vibes our way. Or follow our pre-launch page and get notified when we go live tomorrow. You will have a front row seat to the results of the campaign! https://lnkd.in/gXdB5Gwb

We need your help bringing Tiny Spaces to life!
Asking for help is so awkward. We over-glorify the independent leader who somehow gets it all done alone. "Wow, you can do it all!" When in fact. Right now. For Tiny Earth Toys, we need the help of our community. We need champions, advocates and supporters who can help us thread the needle while we launch Tiny Spaces on Kickstarter. You know how they say it takes a village to raise a child? Entrepreneurship takes a village too. And I hope as a part of my professional village, I can ask for your help. Below are the most impactful ways you can help us bring Tiny Spaces to life and continue our mission to empower families to live their environmental values by keeping toys in use and out of landfills. ?? Join the waitlist for Tiny Spaces here https://tinyearthtoys.com/ ?? Support our Kickstarter campaign on 5/14 @ 12pm eastern. You can save the date here. https://lnkd.in/dHZQRpWP ?? Tag 3 contacts with kids in the comments or share this post with your audience ?? DM me your feedback on what could make this product/launch/our new website better

Curious how to make birthday parties less wasteful? Take a peak at this post from our Co-Founder Catherine Bhattachar and definitely head over to the blog by Jen Nordhem with tips on how to host a birthday toy swap!
I’m an aspiring parent afraid of how much *stuff* kids go through. Honestly, the more I’ve learned, the scarier that is. Exhibit A: birthday parties. The fun part is getting to spend time with loved friends and family and celebrate your child. Some less fun parts: ?? Guests bring presents when you may already have more toys than your kid knows what to do with ?? You have to give guests *stuff* too! Most of those party favors end up in the trash Birthday parties are part of the struggle parents face when they want to reduce their impact on the world but they're surrounded by Tossable Toys. ???? 90% of children’s toys are made from single-use plastic. ???? 6 months is the average amount of time toys are played with. ???? 80% of toys end up in landfills, incinerators or the ocean. Long-time Tiny Earth Toys customer Jen Nordhem wrote an excellent piece on how to host a birthday party toy swap instead. You kill two birds with one stone - gifts and party favors. Fams each bring a toy they’re done with and take one when they leave the party. Jen has given me hope that when I have kids we will be able to host birthday parties that don’t contribute to the problem of Tossable Toys. Here’s the article: https://lnkd.in/gt5yHNnN P.S. Jen is looking for her next role and you can clearly see her ops chops shine through in this post (organized, concise, aware of key stakeholders). Check her out if you’re hiring for operations roles.

Curious what we've learned building Tiny Spaces? See what our Co-Founder & CEO Rachael Classi had to say about our process!
4,000 parents joined a waitlist for a product we haven't yet built. But here's the thing. We know exactly what they want. Because we've done the work to learn what they need. And we know deeply how the current products on the market fall short. And along the way we found innovative designers and manufacturers to bring our vision to life. Many argue you should wait until your product is perfect to "launch" it. We disagree. We've been showing rough sketches from the start. Because we believe we will build a better product by bringing our customer along on the journey and inviting feedback along the way. Take a look over at www.tinyearthtoys.com and see what you think of our soon to be released product, Tiny Spaces. And if you are a parent, caregiver or have a 3-8 year old in your life, let us know your feedback in the comments!
