Why is planting a church important?

We don’t clone any particular model when planting and pastoring churches. Instead, we encourage Spirit-led creativity and the courage to try what best fits each church’s cultural context.

As we approach Christmas, let’s remember the incredible privilege we have to participate in the great search and rescue plan of King Jesus, who said heaven rejoices when the lost are found (Luke 15)! Dear TIMES12 Family, As we wrap up the year and approach the joyous season of Christmas, it’s a great time to reflect on why Jesus came and the heart of our mission together. Jesus said about himself, “the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10) Jesus, our Savior, was born for God’s search and rescue plan so sinners like us would be reconciled to God. He demonstrated his commitment to this by showing compassion, socializing with sinners, proclaiming the good news, and leaving his disciples and us with a lasting commission to follow him in this mission. Ultimately, it’s his substitutionary death on the cross that saves, and his resurrection verifies that the mission he was born for offers real hope.

TIMES12 has so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season. We are in awe of all that God is doing through our network of church plants and missionaries across diverse neighborhoods, subcultures, and cities. And we are also thankful for every person and church who supports this network through prayer and financial generosity. From our family to yours, thank you for being a part of advancing God’s Kingdom through TIMES12.

We are grateful for this heartwarming story from Jorge and Sarah Solorzano at Axis Church! In partnership with TIMES12, Axis Church has inspired young people to live boldly for Jesus. One story highlights a young girl sharing her Bible and sermon notes on a bus, leading both her friend and her mom to faith. TIMES12’s disciple-making model has been embraced by Axis Church, showing how living for Jesus can impact lives and spread the gospel throughout communities.

Epiphany Church, a church plant with TIMES12, has not only grown to be a tight-knit family but also blesses the city of Wilmington, DE in both tangible and intangible ways. They have served over 2,000 families through their food giveaways and met the needs of over 1,000 families through backpack drives! Epiphany Church is evidence of grace that has brought joy to Wilmington!
