关于我们
In a field known for black-and-white thinking, Tighe & Bond focuses on bright ideas, green strategies, and clear solutions. Working with public and private organizations across the northeast, our engineering and environmental consulting projects demand creative, collaborative responses to complex questions. Four things combine to make us unique. First is our commitment to thoroughly understanding client needs, and through that understanding, help them succeed. Second is our deliberate regional focus on the northeastern United States. We like it that way, and frankly, so do our clients. Third is our position as a major firm in this dynamic region. We have very strong, full-service offerings staffed locally by people who live in these communities. And fourth is our ownership model. We’re owned by our employees, so we all feel truly invested in our clients’ success. We’re built this way on purpose. These four elements fuse together to assure outstanding client and project outcomes, and exciting opportunities for employees. Tighe & Bond’s talented engineers, planners, scientists, landscape architects and support staff do great work that benefits our clients, our communities and this entire region that we love.

Concrete work has started for the replacement of the deteriorating seawall at Bicentennial Park in Hampton, NH. This project will replace the failing seawall, extend it to provide better protection, replace the maintenance ramp, and install a new sidewalk, reconstruct the parking lot, and provide new benches. We are assisting the Town of Hampton with permitting, design, and construction phase services on this project.

We congratulate our employee owners, located across 16 Northeast offices, for their important role in achieving this recognition, and look forward to celebrating with other recipients at the BBJ’s award reception in May! https://lnkd.in/etCpSzRY #esop #employeeowned #employeeownership

Gardner High School’s theater club recently put on its spring musical, Fiddler on the Roof, in the school’s newly renovated auditorium, and we’re proud to have served on the project team. Our MEP and structural engineering team, along with partners at JONES WHITSETT ARCHITECTS, INC. designed and provided construction administration services for the upgrades to the auditorium’s HVAC system to add air conditioning and improve ventilation, new acoustical ceiling system, upgrades to the lighting systems, the addition of a theatrical lighting catwalk, and fire alarm system improvements. #MEP #Education

Last week’s demolition of "The Pit" at Harvard Square Plaza marked the end of an era and a new beginning for this historic plaza. For decades, Cambridge's Harvard Square has served as a social hub and public event space. More recently, the plaza has experienced issues with flooding and accessibility. Our landscape architects are working closely with the City of Cambridge, HDR, and Touloukian Touloukian Inc. on the redesign of this plaza. The redesigned Harvard Square Plaza will improve circulation and accessibility, while incorporating trees, planters and new flexible seating to accommodate a variety of events. The Boston Globe recently covered the ongoing work at Harvard Square Plaza: https://lnkd.in/eSxiwt_v

With an increasing national trend in removing aging dams which no longer serve their initial purpose, our work on the Thousand Acre Reservoir Dam in Athol, MA offers a long view of the changing perspectives of #dam ownership. The dam was originally constructed in 1911 and was designed by our firm’s founder, James Tighe, in the firm’s founding year. Over a century later, this dam has surpassed its useful lifespan, and its removal will improve water quality, restore natural river flow, and improve aquatic habitat for fish and other species. Learn more about the project’s 100-year history and its anticipated removal this summer in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Fish & Game Division of Fisheries & Wildlife: https://ow.ly/z29T50VgMCv #damremoval #ecologicalrestoration

Our team is working with Massachusetts Division of Ecological Restoration (MassDER) to provide an update to the division’s guidelines for #culverts in transitional (near-coastal) environments. Utilizing the project team’s expertise in hydraulic modeling and environmental restoration, the guidelines will be updated to include new recommendations for #climatechange adaptation and updated guidance for designing #resilient structure and regulatory considerations. These studies will provide critical information for future #ecologicalrestoration planning and #climateadaptation. https://ow.ly/GWbN50Vf0pX #resiliency

#TeamTigheBond gathered in our offices across the Northeast to celebrate #PiDay while raising money for charity for our 3rd Annual National Pi Day for a Cause Celebration. As a result of the celebration, we raised over $1,700 to benefit Northeast Wilderness Trust, a regional conservation nonprofit that protects more than 85,000 acres of land across New England and New York. #MakeADifference
