Tigerlily's mission is to educate, advocate, empower, and support young women throughout their breast cancer journey.
关于我们
Tigerlily Foundation’s mission is to educate, advocate for, empower, and support young women before, during, and after breast cancer. MISSION To educate, advocate for, empower, and support young women, before, during and after breast cancer. VISION We envision a future where breast cancer diagnosis doesn’t inspire fear, but ignites hope for a future because: We can inspire young women diagnosed with breast cancer to transform inside and out as they journey through treatment to live their best life going forward. We empower young women to be advocates for change Breast cancer will no longer be a terminal disease, but become a chronic disease that will someday be cured. Through our programs, we seek to educate and empower women of all backgrounds, including those at heightened risk, those facing health disparities, and those with less access to care. We strive to improve the quality of life and end isolation among breast cancer survivors. Most importantly, we encourage and endeavor to empower fearless females in every stage of their journey, and to show them that they are not or alone, but are beautiful, strong like the tiger and the lily, and that they can be transformed – during and after breast cancer.

?? Becoming Tigerlily ?? When Maimah Karmo was diagnosed with breast cancer, she felt isolated, searching for a community of women who looked like her—young women of color navigating the same age, stage, and treatment journey. In response, she created what she couldn’t find: a support network for those who needed to know they weren’t alone. "People are dying to know, and dying because they do not know what to do." - Maimah Karmo The Tigerlily Foundation has grown over the years to empower and uplift women of color facing breast cancer. Today, we stand as a symbol of strength and transformation. You are not alone. You are beautiful. You are strong. Like the Tiger and the Lily, you can emerge stronger during and after cancer. ???? #BecomingTigerlily #TigerlilyFoundation #BreastCancerAwareness #StrengthInCommunity #TransformThroughCancer #WomenSupportingWomen #HealthEquity #CancerWarrior

"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." - C.S. Lewis For me, this isn’t just a quote; it’s a call to action. My journey with Triple Negative Breast Cancer has ignited my personal mission—my Living Legacy. My living legacy is to see a world where diseases like breast cancer are eradicated, where pain and suffering no longer haunt the lives of the young and old alike. My living legacy means standing as the face of my community, reaching out to those afraid to advocate for themselves, those who need a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on, or simply someone to listen. It’s about showing that survival is possible. I am living, breathing proof that "You can survive too." And that message—of survival, resilience, and hope—is the heartbeat of my legacy. Through my learnings as an Angel Advocate with the Tigerlily Foundation, I’ve had the privilege to empower other women in their breast cancer journeys. Tigerlily is a beacon of hope and change, focusing on advocacy, empowerment, and support for women of color who are disproportionately affected by breast cancer. As an Angel Advocate, I join others in educating communities, promoting early detection, and ensuring that no one faces this battle alone. Tigerlily Foundation provides resources, mentorship, and a compassionate support system for those in need. Tigerlily teaches Angel Advocates like me that a legacy isn’t just something we leave behind; it’s something we live and breathe every day. We are taught to use our voices to inspire, to stand by those in the fight, and to educate others about prevention, early detection, and support networks. We become part of the foundation’s mission to end disparities in breast cancer care and to inspire communities to take charge of their health. If you or someone you know needs support, or if you want to join us as an advocate, connect with the Tigerlily Foundation. Together, we can bring hope, raise awareness, and move toward a future where breast cancer no longer steals loved ones from us. And I invite each of you to stand with me in rewriting our collective story—a future without breast cancer, where we are each empowered to advocate for ourselves and those we love. #LivingLegacy #BreastCancerAwareness #TripleNegativeBreastCancer #Survivor #EarlyDetection #AngelAdvocate #TigerlilyFoundation #CommunitySupport #Advocacy #RewriteYourStory #Hope Maimah Karmo Tigerlily Foundation ??

Women's Career Strategist, Coach, & Advocate | Passionate Social Entrepreneur & Mentor | Award-winning Educator | Gifted Communicator & Connector | Skilled Facilitator & Researcher | Purpose-driven Philanthropist
Throughout October, I've had the honor of joining 9 fellow career coaches to support Tigerlily Foundation's ANGEL advocates program, providing free career coaching sessions to breast cancer patients and survivors. This experience sparked 2 valuable insights: 1. We can use "what we have" to help others in unique ways. While the coaches and I aren't healthcare professionals, we possess the ability to help women navigate their careers. So, we did just that. 2. People want to help. What began as my personal mission quickly ignited other coaches' passion to get involved. The key? I simply had to ask. On this ??Wellness Wednesday??, I share these lessons with you: ?? Impact starts with what you already have. ?? Your skills can help others in unexpected ways. ?? When you take the first step, others will join you. THANK YOU to the AMAZING coaches who GRACIOUSLY volunteered their time and expertise. Your generosity has made a real difference in women's lives. Olivia Johnson, Cassie Spencer, Kristine Knutter, CEIP ????, Elo?se Eonnet, Kaila K., Lavelle Hall, Lisa Ross-Hain, Chanier McDonald, Tiffany Hammond And speaking of making a difference... I also set out to raise $500 for Tigerlily's patient support programs. Thanks to our incredible community, we surpassed that goal with $650! Could you help us reach $1,000 before October ends? Every dollar supports women facing breast cancer. Michelle Anderson-Benjamin, did not see anyone that looked like her in pictures or in the treatment room. Instead of complaining Michelle decided to “Be The Change” and started the Fearless Warrior Project and became a Tigerlily ANGEL Advocate??
