Super session on Accelerating Climate Action with Artificial Intelligence. Thanks to Bipartisan Policy Center's Tom Romanoff for leading the session, Tom was joined by White House Office of Science and Technology Policy's Justina W. Gallegos, U.S. Congresswomen Lori Trahan, Bentley Systems' Rodrigo Fernandes and Tiger Hill Partners LLC's James Maloney. The interconnectedness of AI, emerging tech, and sustainability was discussed, with a focus on responsible AI deployment, educational sessions, and strategic investments to address the climate crisis. Speakers emphasized the need for decarbonization and regulatory frameworks, as well as the potential of AI in aiding the clean energy transition. Energy efficiency and the growing demand for energy in data centers were also discussed, with a call for sustainable power sources and efficient solutions. Concerns about the environmental impact of clean energy were raised, and the limited time left for questions was also discussed.
