In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth, we would like to showcase some of the remarkable women connected to the Tigard Chamber of Commerce during the month of March. Tanya Christensen with Coldwell Banker Bain first joined the Chamber 6 ? years ago as a new Tigard resident. After a 20-year career in corporate real estate in California, joining the local Chamber seemed like a smart and practical way to get connected and establish herself in a new city. At the same time, she enrolled in the Leadership Tigard Program where she built meaningful connections. Tanya has helped with Chamber fundraisers, participated as an Ambassador for 5 years, currently sits on the Board of Directors, and is the liaison between the Board of Directors and Ambassador Team. Throughout her life, Tanya has been passionate about giving back to the community and her volunteer efforts have often been focused on supporting nonprofits that make a meaningful impact in critical areas such as children, food insecurity, and housing. Make-A-Wish America Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and now Packed with Pride are all organizations that are close to her heart. In her free time, Tanya loves to spend time with friends, whether it’s going out to eat, exploring farmers markets like the Tigard Farmers Market, attending plays, catching a movie, or crafting together. What she truly enjoys most is time with family and traveling to new places, either with loved ones or friends. Her favorite local businesses include Broadway Rose Theatre Company, Harvest Moon Cafe, Daily Nutrition Tigard, Rovente Pizzeria - Tigard, and the new Crazy Sushi location in Tigard.

In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth, we would like to showcase some of the remarkable women connected to the Tigard Chamber of Commerce during the month of March. First on the list is Megan De Salvo, the Chamber’s Chief Executive Officer.?Megan has been a Tigard Chamber Member for 14 years! She started out as an Ambassador and has served in several roles including Ambassador Chair, Board of Directors Member, Board Chair, and has been in the CEO role since the Fall of 2022. Megan is a servant leader with over 30 years of local community volunteerism under her belt. She has volunteered with various organizations including the Tigard/Tualatin Relay for Life, The Struble Foundation, Tigard Young Professionals, Young Professionals of Lake Oswego and many others. In her free time, Megan is a dance mom and track mom to two amazing t(w)een kids. She finds joy in shared passions, being an enthusiastic reader, dedicated writer, and a lover of the theatre and arts. You will most likely bump into her at local events, fundraisers, and out shopping local here in Washington County. When asked about her favorite local business, Megan replied that she loves all her Chamber Member businesses most, including the local company she owns here in Tigard alongside her husband Nicholas De Salvo. She would like everyone to remember to support local first and she looks forward to bumping into you somewhere in the Tigard Area soon!
