It's a short week here in the U.S., but our Media Minds Roundtable is still killing it. Out today is our November media profile, featuring GenomeWeb's Huanjia Zhang -- courtesy of the marvelous Betsy Yates! What's the most important thing to remember when pitching GenomeWeb? And is a late pitch really better than no pitch? Find out in this latest Biopharma Beats Bulletin, available in T2B Slack's #announcements channel.

?? Europe, Asia, and now Africa! While it's true that most of our community is based in the U.S., we're working our way around the world. ??In our November Pulse Narrative, meet Austin Ayaosi. He is one of our newest members, and he's our first based in Africa -- in Lagos, Nigeria. ?? Austin is all about empowering comms colleagues to shine and get the credit we so often don't. As an analyst who helps corp comms practitioners evaluate the impact of their work on their orgs, Austin's proudest career moment was when a client engagement directly resulted in them being the first PR person ever to win an award at their company. ?? He found T2B through our Comm Convo this month that was focused on measurement. Austin says he was inspired to join T2B because he wanted opportunities to co-learn, network, and share his professional experiences with other biopharma communicators. ?? ?? Welcome, Austin!

Thank you, Sabrina Gomersall from POP Health Communications Ltd and Juliette Rothera from GIG Health, alongside T2B ad board member Matt Worrall for hosting our first-ever biopharma comms networking event this week in London! 20+ communicators from across the healthcare sector joined us for an evening of learning and connection. ? It was an hono(u)r to have Reynald Casta?eda, deputy editor at Endpoints News, share his invaluable insights and answer our burning questions. We can’t wait to see you at our next meetup!

I've given two presentations this week -- in front of two wildly different groups -- which both ended with the same, simple question from the audience: "What does RFK Jr. mean for biopharma communications?" It's something that I've been working through in my newsletter this week (link, as ever, in the comments), and I wanted to post a top-level overview here. I'm writing from my own niche and perspective. There are a thousand different ways of answering that question, though, and I'm curious about other viewpoints and would welcome links to people who are also wrestling with this.

Why do certain stories flop while others resonate deeply? What makes a story work on a neurological level? We all know the value of storytelling, especially in the complex life sciences industry. But maybe you don't know about the behavioral economics principles at work or the mechanics behind sticky stories. Well, we sure don't, either! That's why we're pleased to bring you, as part of our pre-#JPM25 programming for biopharma communicators, this FREE half-hour webinar with health tech comms pro and ex-Googler Erin Schmidt on December 12th. >>>Don't miss it! https://lu.ma/sci

If you wish your company or client had a more robust measurement program, you’re not alone (unfortunately? fortunately?). Despite all the talk about being data-driven, it turns out a lot of us don’t have the buy-in – and therefore the budget – to invest in metrics. This week we discuss why this is a missed opportunity, especially in an industry like ours that’s all about following the data. Let’s help leaders walk that talk across all aspects of the business, including communications!
