Recently a close friend had a serious stroke. She was fortunate for two very important reasons: 1. It happened before she and her husband went to bed, and 2. She lives in a part of Phoenix that is served by a special piece of mobile equipment which was donated to Barrow Neurological Institute by the fantastic Thunderbirds Charities I recently mentioned that many Thunderbirds are my friends in the real estate industry and she asked me the favor of posting on LinkedIn to thank them. The?Sandra Day O'Connor Institute for American Democracy has been awarded a generous $50,000 grant from Thunderbirds Charities for youth civic programming. Since 2017, the O’Connor Institute has presented Camp O’Connor to prepare Arizona’s youth for active citizenship through high-quality civics education. https://lnkd.in/ejTsmBG2

Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children Raises $1.1 Million!

Wow – what an amazing group! ?? Thank you Thunderbirds Charities for bringing such a large and happy group to help serve at Key Campus. The Thunderbirds built over 100 outreach kits, built shelves for the new storage unit, and folded, sorted, and filled the new storage unit with clothes. ?? ?? A huge thank you to The Thunderbirds and our First Tee – Phoenix ACE Club members for spending their morning with us last week at the Inaugural Mentor/Mentee Breakfast, sponsored by a generous donor. It was inspiring to witness the “mentor in the moment” experience, with engaging conversations and connections happening throughout the room. This event gave our ACE members the chance to gain valuable insights, hear inspiring stories, and receive real-time guidance from Active and Life Thunderbird members. At First Tee – Phoenix, our coaches teach participants the value of having a “Go-To Team” – an individual or group of individuals that are there to support and guide our youth, teaching essential life skills both on and off the course. From resilience to respect, our mentors help build the confidence and character that last a lifetime. We’re deeply grateful to The Thunderbirds and our donor for their commitment to empowering our youth and creating opportunities for impactful mentorship. Their support reflects a deep understanding of the challenges our neighbors face, and we are so thankful for their dedication. .. we’ve received (3) generous donations that will significantly impact our programs and capital building campaign. First, I want to highlight the DIANE AND BRUCE HALLE FOUNDATION, which has provided a remarkable grant dedicated to our efforts to assist vulnerable community members aged 55 and older. Next, a substantial donation from Thunderbirds Charities aimed at enhancing our programs for children that will ensure that young people in our community have access to the food and resources they need to thrive. Most recently, SolarTech contributed to our Faces of Hope campaign, which is essential for the ongoing construction of our new campus.] These organizations join the Virginia G. While touring the new Valleywise Health Medical Center, Desert Ford Dealers presented a $10,000 check to the Diane & Bruce Halle Arizona Burn Center, a gift made possible by Valleywise Health Foundation's win in the Ford Drive One for Arizona Charities contest at the WM Phoenix Open earlier this year.
