Thrive Philanthropy is happy to highlight Thrive Grantee, AnimalKIND from Australia and their recent Aussie Feedlots Campaign! With the Thrive Grant, AnimalKIND has made significant strides in addressing animal welfare and environmental issues associated with feedlots in Australia. Here are some of their key achievements: ? In-Depth Research: They conducted extensive research on Queensland feedlots, compiling a detailed register and investigating over 75 sites to highlight crucial areas for improvement. ? Innovative Documentation: Utilizing drone technology, they captured vital footage that vividly illustrates the conditions within these feedlots, raising awareness of pressing issues. ? Community Engagement: The campaign launched alongside Beef Week, effectively leveraging the story of Grassdale Feedlot to engage the community and resonate with stakeholders across the industry. ? Public Awareness: Through the launch of their website, aussiefeedlots.com, and an impactful billboard campaign across major cities, they successfully informed the public and initiated important conversations about animal rights and sustainability. The findings revealed alarming statistics, including that 42% of feedlots lacked adequate shelter for animals and significant biosecurity risks. Learn more about the campaign at https://lnkd.in/dVaHbaUx You Make This Possible!
