The Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance was created as the Land of Lincoln Economic Development Corporation (LLEDC) in 2018 as a public and private sector partnership dedicated to advancing economic development efforts in Springfield and Sangamon County in the State of Illinois. Led by a volunteered, diverse industry-driven board of directors, our mission is to pursue economic prosperity and growth for Sangamon County and the City of Springfield. The Springfield Sangamon Growth Alliance is helping create and market a financially sound community; able to attract new businesses and skilled talent, while retaining the profitable companies and local workforce who already make Sangamon County their home.

These weekly concerts have become a favorite in our community with more than 1,500 attendees to the opening concert last week! Our delegation of Springfield and Sangamon County officials and business leaders had very engaging visits in Washington, DC last week with our Congressional elected officials. They had the opportunity to meet with Representative Mary Miller, Representative Nikki Budzinski, Senator Tammy Duckworth and Senator Dick Durbin to discuss visionary projects and initiatives in our community. As the hard work continues out at the SCHEELS Sports Park site, we know that ???rainy days??? like this can be so difficult for our local teams that might get completely washed out of their games and practices. The Scheels Sports Park at Legacy Pointe will be a destination for traveling teams on the weekends, but, during the week our local Springfield Public Schools District 186 kids will be able to use the turf fields -- which will be much more available during our unpredictable, rainy Springs! #ThriveInSPI
