  • Thrive West Central is excited to announce the launch of the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program in Montgomery County, Indiana. Funding from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) has partnered with Thrive to make this opportunity possible. This $400,000 grant is designed to provide financial assistance (up to $25,000) for select rehabilitation activities. Thrive West Central is excited about bringing this fantastic opportunity to the county. These funds will help improve the quality of life for some living in the west-central region of Indiana. Selective rehabilitation activities include water heater repairs/replacements, heating and/or cooling repairs/replacement, roof repairs/replacements, and exterior ADA accessibility (such as ramps and handrails). To be eligible for this program, individuals must live in Montgomery County, Indiana, own and live in the home for which they seek funds, and meet HUD low-to-moderate income limits. Partners include the Area Agency on Aging, the Montgomery County Health Department, the Veteran’s Office, and the County Trustee offices. Applications will be available at these sites and can also be found at https://wkf.ms/42j5Ljc. • Looking for a new home? Check out this new listing by Bricks & Gables, Inc., on Terre Haute’s east side in the Vista Glen neighborhood. This stunning new home is a significant part of The Homes For The Future Program and has been made possible through the generous funding provided by the city and county ARPA dollars. This Homes For The Future project celebrates the investment made by the Wabash River Regional Development Authority (RDA) and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), with support from Mayor Sakbun, Vigo County Commissioners, and both City and County Councils. Through these collaborations, Homes For The Future leveraged significant private housing investments in our community. This development represents a crucial step forward in providing quality, affordable housing for our residents and fostering a stronger, more vibrant community.

  • Thrive West Central is excited to announce the completion of Wallace Building Contractor, Inc.’s City Homes College Street project! This project consisted of eight single-family detached homes. These homes have 2-3 bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, and a one-car attached garage. These newly built homes are totally electric with energy-efficient appliances. All eight of these homes have already been sold, and new homeowners are currently residing in them. This City Homes College Street project was made possible by builder Jim Wallace, Thrive West Central’s Home For The Future program, and the City of Terre Haute’s ARPA funds. A Terre Haute City ARPA investment of $77,400 will support the infrastructure of this project and generate $1,478,000 in private investments.
