At East Meets West, we’ve provided clean water access to 1.6 million people and improved sanitation and hygiene for 1.3 million across Southeast Asia. Additionally, 325,000 families now have access to hygienic latrines, enhancing health and quality of life in their communities. ?? East Meets West pioneers evidence-based programs in water, sanitation, & hygiene in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
关于我们
Thrive Networks envisions a world where all people have access to water, sanitation, and hygiene. We envision water companies, governments, and rural communities working together to ensure every man, woman and child has access to potable water and the knowledge and facilities to keep his or her home and community clean and hygienic. Thrive Networks empowers socially and economically excluded families in rural Southeast Asia to improve the health of their children and communities through inclusive and sustainable water and sanitation programs. Our solution: We've pioneered and refined the output-based aid (OBA) or "pay for success" approach in sanitation and health (WASH) programs. We have reached over one million individuals from homes belonging to the poorest 40% of the population in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. With your help, we can continue to reach more.

?? Happy World Toilet Day 2024! ?? Today, on World Toilet Day with the theme "Toilets - A Place for Peace," we celebrate the transformative impact of safe sanitation through the inspiring story of Ms. Sareth Ouk. Sareth, a 45-year-old farmer from Prek Samann Commune, Cambodia, joined the #CLICR #WASH project as a volunteer in 2023. This initiative, implemented by East Meets West Foundation with support from Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Water for Women, has since benefited hundreds of families. As part of the project, Sareth has tirelessly worked to help households build safe toilets and has led essential hygiene trainings for women and girls in her community. Despite facing challenges – long travel distances, financial constraints for families, and even some objections from her own family – Sareth finds meaning in her work. She shared, “I just want every family to have a safe toilet, especially those with elderly members or children. Each toilet we help build brings peace of mind to the people here.” Thanks to dedicated volunteers like Sareth, our project is working to help 2,000 vulnerable households across 23 high-climate-risk communes build or upgrade climate-resilient latrines by the end of 2024. This World Toilet Day, let’s join hands to ensure that sanitation and water services are resilient, effective, and accessible to everyone and shielded from harm. #ThriveNetworks #EastMeetsWest #WorldToiletDay2024 #APlaceForPeace #SanitationForAll #SDG6
